EN 1087-1: 1995

Particleboards – Determination of moisture resistance – Boil test

Despite its name, this standard is referenced in EN 300 for OSB. It specifies a method of test for evaluating the bond quality of OSB intended for use in humid conditions. For OSB, a modified procedure given in Annex A (normative) of EN 300 shall be used. Tensile strength perpendicular to the plane of the panel (internal bond) is determined using test pieces which have been immersed in boiling water.
