Veneer Grades

Veneer in a finished US trademarked plywood panel must conform to one of the grade designations listed in the US PS 1 standard.

  • These requirements apply to panels measuring 2440mm (96”) x 1220mm (48”) and are proportionate for other sizes.
  • There are six grades of veneer: N, A, B, C-plugged, C and D, with N being the highest classification.
