Sturd-I-Floor: Floors

One (of 2) Bending Strength/Stiffness Options for 22.2mm Sturd-I-Floor Panel & Support Spacing 24 oc

General info: Sturd-I-Floor is a single layer flooring for under carpet and pad. May also be produced as Structural I, denoting a performance-rated panel, with superior bending stiffness and strength
Bending strength  – stress applied parallel: Factor of safety (F S) bending strength – 1,050 (lb-in²/ft of panel width) when stress applied parallel to strength axis. The strength axis is always parallel to the face and back orientation of the strands unless otherwise indicated
Bending strength  – stress applied perpendicular: Factor of safety (F S) bending strength – 1027.5 (lb-in²/ft of panel width) when stress applied perpendicular to strength axis
Bending stiffness – stress applied parallel: E I (lb-in²/ft of panel width) – 650,000 when stress applied parallel to strength axis. E I provides a measure of the resistance of the beam to bending. The larger the E I, the smaller the deflection
Bending stiffness – stress applied perpendicular: E I – 376,000 when stress applied perpendicular to strength axis
Span rating/support spacing: 24 oc
Thickness/US Performance Category*: 22.2mm (min 21.1mm; max 23.34mm); (7/8)*
