Sturd-I-Floor: Floors

One (of 2) Bending Strength/Stiffness Options for 15.1mm Sturd-I-Floor Panel & Support Spacing  16 0c

General info: Sturd-I-Floor is special single layer flooring under carpet and pad. May also be produced as Structural 1, denoting a performance-rated panel, with superior bending stiffness and strength
Bending strength  – stress applied parallel: Factor of safety (F S) bending strength – 500 (lb-in²/ft of panel width) when stress applied parallel to strength axis. The strength axis is parallel to the face and back orientation of the strands unless otherwise indicated
Bending strength  – stress applied perpendicular: Factor of safety (F S) bending strength – 270 (lb-in²/ft of panel width) when stress applied perpendicular to strength axis
Bending stiffness – stress applied parallel: E I (lb-in²/ft of panel width) – 150,000 when stress applied parallel to strength axis. E I provides a measure of the resistance of the beam to bending. The larger the E I, the smaller the deflection
Bending stiffness – stress applied perpendicular: E I – 54,400 when stress applied perpendicular to strength axis
Span rating/support spacing: 16 oc
Thickness/US Performance Category*: 15.1mm (min 14.3mm; max 15.85mm); (19/32)*
